FS2004, Acapulco International Airport, Mexico............MMAA

Description:

This scenery depicts the Acapulco International Airport in it's entirety. It is a smaller airport, but is able to handle the largest jetliners. There are no jetways at this airport, and incoming international flights are met by buses which carry passengers to the terminal. This airport also has a large general use population due to it's jet set locale. It uses pink in many areas most likely due to the very popular Las Brisas Hotel which originated the pink and white color scheme it uses in this city, even in their transport Jeeps. An afcad is also included which contains cross pattern runways which are used here, and was completed with the help of Ray Smith.

Installation:

1. Extract the zip into your main FS2004 Addon Scenery folder, or into a temporary folder, and then move it there, which ever method you prefer.

2. Start up FS2004 and when the welcome screen, or initial menu comes on, select settings, then click on Scenery Library, and Add Area. Find the Addon Scenery folder and open it, then find the Aca folder and click on it. The name Aca should now appear in the title window, then click OK. Then you will see Aca at the top of your scenery library list, and click the OK tab at the bottom.

3. That's it! You must first exit FS2004, and when you restart it your scenery will be there. It is not necessary to use the Addon Scenery option to locate this scenery, simply go to the airport in FS. The afcad file is already installed, and does not have to be moved from it's location in the file.

Credits:

Ray Smith: for his help in getting me started with afcad, which I finally had some time for. Ray also wanted me to acknowledge Jim Vile, and Reggie Fields for their hard work in activating crosswind runways, so both runways will have traffic landing and taking off!

John de Langristin: for the car parks used at the front of this airport.

Rafael Garcia Sanchez: for the low impact baggage carts.

Christian Freidrich: for the blue busses.

Gabriel Concha: for the push back tugs.

Tom Burnett: for the airport vans.

NO CREDIT to the four photographers who had the most photos of this airport on Airliners.net. I e-mailed each of them asking for help with some photos of the terminal of this airport, and explained what I do. I did not even receive one response from any of them, and as a result had to do it mainly from memory which is pretty vague after ten years. It appeared to have also been remodeled since then in the pink scheme, so hopefully I got things fairly right on.
